Most Idaho Falls hotels sit along the Snake River. Lindsay Boulevard on the west bank has more of them than any other street, with more on River Parkway and West Broadway near the bridge, a short walk from the falls, the River Walk and downtown. A second group sits east of town near Channing Way and the mall, and a few more are out by Snake River Landing and I-15.

Where to stay depends on the trip. If you are heading to the parks, West Yellowstone is about 108 miles by road, a little over two hours, and Jackson, Wyoming, is about 89 miles. Summer is the busy season for that traffic, so book July and August early.

Idaho Falls Regional Airport is about two miles from downtown, so a riverfront room works for an early flight as well.
