Inside city limits, the power company is the city. Idaho Falls Power has been a municipal utility since 1900, and it runs five hydropower plants on the Snake River that supply about a third of the city's electricity. Meters, service drops and outage reports go through the city utility, which also runs its own electric vehicle programs if you are adding a charger.
